Dr. Jeannine is an experienced speaker, educator, and trainer. She has been requested to speak at conferences and trainings given her focus on the mental health of marginalized communities, her expertise on the impact of systemic oppression on mental health, and her experience as an activist psychologist. She is an engaging and thoughtful presenter, and creatively puts together interactive workshops and training sessions to meet the needs and goals of each setting.
With years of experience designing and providing outreach workshops at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as years of experience as an award winning adjunct professor (at Penn’s SP2—School of Social Policy & Practice, and at Herron School of Art’s Graduate Art Therapy Program), Dr. Jeannine combines creativity, theory, praxis, experience, and expertise, with a warm, approachable, and confident presence.
She is passionate about presenting on topics related to: making the field of mental health more equitable and accessible; anti-oppression, anti-racist, decolonial, and intersectional foundations for therapy and healing; trauma and trauma informed foundations, and centering the mental health of those of us underserved in treatment. She is especially excited about integrating activism into healing and wellness spaces, and healing and wellness into activism spaces.
